This is not a beginner ride, you should have previous high alpine
biking experience, not afraid to ride some sections with exposure!!!
Riding level based on https://itrs.bike/ or S2+ on the S scale
Technical Difficulty: red – Advanced
Endurance: blue – Occasional training
Exposure: blue – High risk
Wilderness: blue – Some planning needed
Where: Lenzerheide, Arosa, Ramoshutte SAC
Price: Sleeping in hut is 20 CHF for SAC members, 30 otherwise +
cablecar tickets day 1 from Chur + Lenzerheide to Parpaner Rothorn, day 2
from Arosa to Hörnli
What to bring:
– Clothes for high alpine riding, knee, elbow protection
– spare tube
– MTB in good working condition, at minimum mid travel full suspension
is recommended (130mm travel up)
– Helmet is mandatory!
– Sleeping bag liner (Schlafsack-Inlett in german) is mandatory. The
hut has blankets and pillows
– Dry food/sandwich/instant food or whatever you want to eat for
dinner in the hut. There is option to boil water
Sleeping: bed in shared room in hut
We will meet at Chur Bergbahnen (Brambrüesch) cable car entrance on
Saturday at 9 AM
If you are coming from Zurich direction for example, you can take for
example IR 35 train which starts at 7:12 from Zurich HB
From there following some part of the bike ticket to ride red we ride
to Lenzerheide (https://arosalenzerheide.swiss/de/Region/Touren/616-Biketicket-to-ride-rot_tour_2811055)
We take the gondola from Lenzerheide to the Parpaner Rothorn and from
there we ride down to Arosa on natural/flow trail
We pedal up, hike our bikes from Arosa to Ramoshutte (700 m up) where
we make our dinner and spend the night
Sunday morning we ride down back to Arosa and with the assistance of a
cable car we ride back to Lenzerheide and back to Chur and then
Insurance is the responsibility of the participant, by RSVPing “yes” you agree to act responsibly at all times on this event and to not hold Swiss Alpine Adventure or any person involved responsible for any injury or loss which may occur in relation to the event.
We also encourage participants to have cancellation insurance in case they can not attend events at the last minute due to illness, injury or any other reasons. We cannot give refunds for cancellations within the last 30 days before the event starts.

Swiss Alpine Adventure does not accept liability for damage to property, death or personal injury that may occur whilst taking part in activities or events organized by Swiss Alpine Adventure. It is your responsibility to make sure your equipment is maintained and in safe working order.
