Hey everyone!

We're gauging interest for single on-piste ski days in Davos Klosters (where we live) ? - between Christmas & New Year, because we've got more time, but also for the rest of the season! Potentially including some informal teaching (see below), but mostly for fun&social... ? - no high level or anything required, as long as you can ski reds, we're good!!!

Questions:

#1 Are you generally interested?

#2 Do you have specific days that work for you?

#3 Are you curious about our stormy weather backup idea to learn snowskatingon the baby hill - or prefer sth else?

Description:

After enjoying some nice bike days in summer with SAA, we (Anna & Peter) would also love to share our love for the local mountains in Winter. We suggest a fun social day out on skis, snowboards or snowskates. We plan to go skiing in the Parsenn area of the Davos/Klosters resort. Parsenn is perfect because it is easily accessible from Klosters which makes the journey to the slopes a little shorter.  🙂 We will be riding predominantly blues and reds slopes.

On a casual/friends basis we can offer you tips on your skiing and snowboarding - if you’d like. Anna is a JO/kids ski teacher with a weak spot for carving and great skiing technique and Peter has partly grown up with his “Nani” in Klosters and looks like he’s kinda glued to his snowboard. However, if you’d prefer to just ski groomers with great company, we’re all in, too.

If the weather is really bad, we may meet up on the Jakobshorn (Carjöl lift) instead and give you an experience of snowskating, which is also great fun, even if it’s not very well known. It’s something you probably can’t learn anywhere else, and it’s perfect during a storm with wonderfully soft snow to fall on 😉 - we’ll let you know in advance and we can provide a skate!

You will need a ticket for the area, which you best book online (it’s cheaper!), and ideally you’ve got certificate so we can have cosy lunch inside.

Hi @annahapunkt

As I mentioned in the other thread I would be interested, but am not always flexible. I will keep my eyes open and if it works on one of the days you have an event I will try to join. Thanks for the effort.

Best, John

I am interested. I might not be in Switzerland between Christmas and New Year. But, once I am back I would be very interested.

Hey John

Do you usually only know really short-term or do you have an idea a week or two ahead? Maybe we can create something!

Any suggestions between Christmas & New Year? We'll have my brother over, but he'll happily join a bigger crowd, I'm sure of it 😀

I have just discovered I have 2 weeks off over Christmas so I would be up for snowboarding any day up till the 30th.

@annahapunkt Sometimes I can plan ahead, but more often than not it's difficult to commit too far ahead. It's a bit of an issue for me with young children at home. I'm used to joining in on things last minute if it fits so don't plan things based on me. I will come along if I can.

Best,

John
