Hi All,
I'm just trying this forum out☺. Very keen to get posts of people interested in going skiing at the w/es or day trips from Zurich. I'm moderate reds, can do blacks but need to get some style! Keen to explore all areas with people.
Cheers Pip
Great idea Pip.
It would be really cool to see people catching up and getting out to enjoy the pistes together. I know at least one other person is interested in doing some social ski days as the winter progresses. ?
Where do you like to ski normally?

Hi Pip,
Sounds great. I am comfortable skiing anywhere on the mountain, but it's always fun to do it with other people. I'm based in Lucerne, but can travel to other areas if that's where the crowd is going. I've already been to Davos once this season and conditions were fun. 🙂
@philippa, where are you thinking of going? I am not always flexible due to family commitments. But, if something was happening on days that I am free I would join.
I often ski in Hoch-ybrig, but would be open to other locations too.
Does anyone else go to Hoch-ybrig regularly?
Best, John.
Hey 🙂 Maybe have a look over hereif that interests you? We'd love to do something, too ?
Check this out, in places there has been more than 1.5m of new snow falling in the last 7 days. It's still early December. I can't remember when we got this much fresh snow so early in the season. This should hopefully make a pretty good base layer for later in the season.

How about going to:
* Grindelwald
* Laax
* Saas Fee
next weekend (Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday) and staying one night overnight as option? Or not and just Saturday?
who would be in?

@asmereczynska Hi sorry I just saw your message. Would definitely have liked to go to all these places this w/e. Next w/e I'm away for Xmas but count me in from January ?⛷
I guess someone should coordinate the dates.
I am free/or rather flexible between 17.12-4.01.

I would be in for Grindelwald, but I am unfortunately going to be away over the Christmas/New Years period. It's nice to see other people interested in going skiing, I'm looking forward to joining in when I get back in the new year.
Is anyone going to be skiing on the December 25th? I saw there is a ski tour arranged on the 26th, but there does not appear to be anything on the 25th.
I can ski most things on- and off-piste, just lacking considerably in the style department. Right now I am looking to go somewhere local just on the 25th.
@judgefred Hi Fred,
Hopefully there are some others who will go skiing on the 25th, we have some other commitments on that day.
This past weekend was definitely a great one in the mountains. Here are some pictures from our Avalanche Safety Course in the Andermatt area.
If anyone is interested in getting a taste of off-piste there are still some places for the Introduction to Off-Piste weekend in January.

I went spontaneously to Pizol today. The views to Lake Constance and beyond were spectacular.
Best,
John
Just a quick intro with a view to getting to know the group and find like minded ski enthusiasts. Love off-piste skiing and touring though currently not managing to get enough skiing days in to improve. Feels like I am starting afresh every season. My family loves skiing but not quite as passionately as I do. Hence I am looking for group activities and to buddy up with like minded enthusiasts. I am fairly middle-aged, based in London and normally ski anywhere within a 3 hours drving radius from lake Como where my ski gear lives. Happy to hook up at short notice for weekend trips. The two days intro to off-piste skiing on 15/16 Jan sounds great. Daniel
I guess no meetups happened over the Christmas break? Who will be skiing in the coming weeks?
