The 6:30am start on Sunday morning to get a train to Wallis was a bit of a challenge. Our plan was to ride the Lötschberg Sudrampe and then maybe explore some other trails in the area. Needless to say we were all a touch tired on the train down but having heard a lot about this trail and done a little bit of reading online we expected it to be quite good and hoped it would be worth the early start.

It turned out to be a true “all mountain” trail. Steep climbs, technical descents, steps, switchbacks, flowing woodland trails, hike a bike sections and stunning scenery, this trail had it all. We arrived at the end of the trail in Brigerbad at about lunch time with a desire to head towards Bellalp to check out some more trails. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas and it started raining putting a premature end to our days trail riding.

Despite the day being cut short and the early start it was well worth the journey to get to ride this trail.
