This year I've been thinking of ideas to keep the windsurfing spirit alive after the weather starts to get colder. If there is enough interest I might try to arrange some sailing sessions over the winter in bigger boats where you can wear warm clothing and try to keep the cold and damp winter air out. This is great to help with windsurfing as with sailing you learn more about the environment, the wind and how the sails react to the wind which can then be applied to windsurfing again as the days get warmer.

We had another great weekend on the water this weekend with a coaching day on Saturday and Intro Course on Sunday. There are a number of more coaching days in August and September on the website now ready for sign up. Hope to see you on the water again soon.

Another great fun coaching session on the Sihlsee yesterday. Thanks to everyone who came and looking forward to the next one next weekend already. We'll have a short break in July after next weekend so grab your place now before these sessions begin again in August and September. You can sign up here for next weekends event.

This weekend had the first full Intro course of the year and it's gotten me excited about getting you all out on the water again.

The first coaching/rental session for this year is now open for booking on the events page of the website. Currently this is a one day event but with interest there can be a second day added either for those of you who want two days on the water or to give extra capacity if enough people want to join in.

Please let me know if you would like a second day on the water.

Hi Everyone,

Just to let you all know that the first windsurf sessions are already ready for booking on the events page now. If those of you who have done some windsurfing in the past would like I will arrange a zoom session in spring just before we go on the water to do a reminder of some of the theory from last year. Let me know if you think this would be something helpful.

Looking forward to getting on the water with you as soon as it gets a bit warmer.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry, about not getting back to you. I had been hoping to run a rental/coaching session today, but I only got back this morning so it wasn't possible to set up. I'll keep an eye on the weather and see if it's still possible to squeeze something in if there is still interest. Prerequisites are that water and air temperature are both above 10 degrees so that nobody gets too cold during the session.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry about the delay in posting the next coaching session. I am waiting to see when I will be 100% definitely available to run it myself. It will either be on the 16th or the 23rd of October. After that we will probably be getting a little cold for the sessions, but if the weather (and water temperature) does remain warm enough to do it we might be able to go a little longer.

Sometimes October can be very warm.
