It was always going to be risky going looking for new trails in the height of the summer holiday season. But, even at the busiest times of the year you can always find trails to yourself if you look hard enough. We enjoyed a few days in the Aletsch area before heading further down the Rhone valley to do some exploring in the Val d’Anniviers and then to the tourist hotspot of Zermatt. Even though arriving at the train station in Zermatt felt like we had gone to the busiest tourist destination in the world, once on the mountains there were very few people.
Enjoy the pictures. Hopefully they will inspire you to go on your own Swiss Alpine Adventure… or join us on some of ours.
